Why Kinwise

What families find here

Education, not advice

Every session draws on adult-education materials. We share frameworks and tools — how you use them is entirely your own decision.

A considered pace

Programmes move at a deliberate, unhurried rhythm. There is no pressure to arrive at a particular conclusion by the end of any session.

Private and discreet

Small groups only. Session content remains between participants and facilitators. We do not keep records of personal family discussions.

Practical, printed materials

Each programme comes with workbooks, templates, and reference sheets you can continue using at home long after the sessions end.

Local and accessible

Based in Bukit Tunku, Kuala Lumpur, with evening and weekend session times suited to working adults and school-age families.

Facilitators with care

Our facilitators are selected for their warmth, patience, and ability to hold space for families at different stages — without steering towards any outcome.

Take a step

Ready to look at things more clearly?

We welcome enquiries from families at any point — whether you are thinking ahead, in the middle of change, or simply curious what a session looks like. There is no commitment in asking.

Questions

Things families often ask

What is the difference between what Kinwise offers and counselling or mediation?
Our programmes are educational. We provide structured learning environments using publicly available adult-education materials. We do not assess, diagnose, advise on personal arrangements, or facilitate formal dispute resolution. Participants attend to learn frameworks and tools — not to receive professional opinions about their family situation.
Who attends the Co-Parenting Communication Course?
The course is written for separated or co-parenting adults who want a calm, structured setting to learn communication approaches for day-to-day parenting conversations. Both co-parents may attend, or one parent may enrol individually. There is no requirement for both parties to be present at the same sessions.
What happens at the Family Records and Inventory Workshop?
You arrive with your household documents in whatever state they are in, and leave with them sorted, labelled, and placed in a shared folder system. A facilitator is present throughout to assist with sorting and provide general templates. We do not give advice on the content of the documents themselves — only on how to organise and label them clearly.
Where is the Family Conversation Retreat held?
The retreat is held at a small, quiet venue outside Kuala Lumpur — typically within a two-hour drive. We confirm the exact venue with enrolled families beforehand. Meals and accommodation are included in the programme fee.
How many people attend each session or programme?
We keep groups deliberately small. Course sessions are capped at eight participants, workshops at four households, and the retreat at three family groups. Smaller numbers allow for a quieter, more considered atmosphere.
What language are the sessions conducted in?
Sessions and materials are in English. If you have a specific language preference, please mention it when you enquire — we will let you know whether we can accommodate this in an upcoming intake.
What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?
We ask for at least seven days' notice if you need to reschedule. We will try our best to place you in the next available intake. Full programme details, including cancellation terms, are shared at the time of enrolment.
