Our Programmes

Three programmes, each designed for a different kind of family need

Whether your household is working through co-parenting communication, administrative records, or a larger shared conversation — there is a Kinwise programme designed around that specific need.

Our Approach

How Kinwise programmes are designed

Structured from the start

Each programme has a published outline. Participants know what each session will cover before they arrive. There is no ambiguity about the shape of the experience.

Non-directive facilitation

Facilitators hold the structure of sessions, not their conclusions. No family is guided towards a particular outcome. The programme provides tools; participants decide what to do with them.

Tangible outcomes

Every programme produces something physical and usable — a completed workbook, a labelled folder system, a written record of conversations. Learning is practical, not abstract.

Programme 01

Co-Parenting Communication Course

A six-session evening course written for separated or co-parenting adults who would like a calm structure for routine conversations about their children's day-to-day life. The course works through publicly available adult-education materials on neutral communication, written handover notes, and respectful disagreement.

Sessions are educational and do not provide counselling, mediation, or advice on personal arrangements. A printed workbook is included, and participants leave each session with a small written reflection of their own choosing.

What this programme covers

  • Frameworks for neutral, child-focused communication
  • Writing clear, consistent handover notes
  • Approaches to respectful disagreement on parenting decisions
  • Managing irregular requests and schedule changes in writing
  • Personal written reflection at each session close

How the course runs

  1. 1

Enquire and enrol — send an enquiry, receive the full programme outline, and confirm your place in the next intake.

  2. 2

Attend six evening sessions — held at our Bukit Tunku premises, on a schedule shared at enrolment.

  3. 3

Work through the printed workbook — materials are yours to keep and use at home between sessions.

  4. 4

Write a personal reflection at each session close — brief, self-directed, and private to you.

Co-Parenting Communication Course

Best suited for

  • Separated parents managing shared custody arrangements
  • Co-parents who would like a calmer structure for routine exchanges
  • Adults looking to learn communication tools rather than resolve disputes
  • One or both co-parents — individual enrolment is welcome

Programme 02

Family Records and Inventory Workshop

Best suited for

  • Blended families creating a shared document system
  • Multi-generational households with accumulated records
  • Families with a member entering long-term or residential care
  • Households that have not organised documents since a major life change

Family Records and Inventory Workshop

A half-day workshop for households putting their administrative records into a single shared system. Participants are given a labelled folder, an inventory template, and a quiet table. The facilitator helps with sorting and labelling household documents and provides general templates.

The session is purely organisational. No advice on the content of the documents is offered. Participants leave with a completed folder system and a general household inventory they can maintain independently.

What this workshop covers

  • Sorting household documents into a consistent category system
  • Labelling physical folders using a provided system
  • Completing a household inventory template
  • Identifying gaps in household documentation
  • Templates for ongoing document maintenance

How the workshop runs

  1. 1

Arrive with your documents — bring household papers in whatever state they are currently in.

  2. 2

Sort and label — work at a quiet table with a facilitator present to assist with the labelling system.

  3. 3

Complete the inventory template — record what you have, where it is filed, and any gaps identified.

  4. 4

Leave with a complete system — labelled folder, inventory, and maintenance templates are yours to continue using.

Programme 03

Family Conversation Retreat

A two-day quiet retreat held at a small venue outside Kuala Lumpur for families who would like an unhurried setting in which to discuss household matters — care of an older relative, household admin, or shared records — guided by a calm facilitator and a printed conversation workbook.

Meals and accommodation are included. The retreat is educational and discussion-based. The facilitator does not provide counselling, mediation, or any service requiring regulated qualifications.

What the retreat covers

  • Structured conversation time using the printed workbook
  • Facilitated sessions on household matters chosen by the family
  • Shared record of discussion points for the family to keep
  • Quiet time between sessions for reflection
  • All meals and one night's accommodation included

How the retreat runs

  1. 1

Enquire and receive the venue details — we confirm the retreat location, dates, and what to bring.

  2. 2

Arrive at the venue on Day 1 — settle in, receive the conversation workbook, and meet the facilitator.

  3. 3

Work through the two-day programme — structured sessions, quiet reflection time, and shared meals.

  4. 4

Leave with the workbook and discussion record — a written account of the conversations held, in your own words.

Standards Across All Programmes

What applies to every Kinwise programme

Privacy of in-session discussion

Nothing discussed within sessions is recorded or shared. Facilitators do not document personal family content.

Small attendance limits

Group sizes are capped strictly. No programme runs at scale. The small-group experience is a deliberate design choice, not a capacity constraint.

Clear enrolment documentation

Full programme outlines, fees, and cancellation terms are shared in writing before any booking is confirmed.

Non-directive facilitation

Facilitators are not present to advise, assess, or recommend. Their role is to hold the structure of the session and keep it running calmly.

Materials included in every fee

Workbooks, templates, and folder systems are part of the programme price. No materials are sold separately or as optional extras.

Annual content review

Programme materials are reviewed each year against current adult-education research and updated where relevant.
